Unique

Unique is a small charity (registered charity 1110661) who support, inform and network with families living with rare chromosome disorders or some autosomal dominant single gene disorders associated with learning disability and developmental delays, amongst other symptoms.

Our daughter was identified as having a duplication of chromosome 15q 11.2-13.1 in April 2017 which has manifested itself through developmental delay, learning difficulties and a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).  Unique has been extremely supportive to our family from initial identification of the duplication and we aim to fully support them support families like us who are dealing with the difficulties such conditions can create.
